An increase of 4000 dirhams for school registration
Schools begin issuing re-enrollment notices for the upcoming school year.
Schools in Dubai have started issuing notices to parents about re-registration for the next academic year, with some schools charging up to Dh4,000 as re-registration fees per child.
This is especially true for schools rated from "Very Good" to "Outstanding," which varies based on a student's grade.
However, parents express doubts about their family's situation by September, which makes it challenging for them to re-register early.
According to the UAE's education regulator, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), schools may ask parents to pay a non-refundable re-registration fee to secure a place for their children for the next school year.
But this deposit cannot be more than five percent of the total tuition or 500 dirhams (whichever is more) and it is deducted from the total tuition for the academic year.
